Kurnool: All India Youth Federation (AIYF) state vice-president G Naga Ramudu has demanded the YSR government to withdraw GO No 77 which was issued to cancel the scholarship and fee reimbursement.

Addressing media conference at its federation office in Nandyal on Friday, Ramudu said the students hailing from poor family background have to discontinue education in the middle with the GO brought by Jagan government.

He said most students pursuing education at aided, unaided and at private colleges were depending on fee reimbursement and scholarships. By bringing the GO No 77, all these facilities have been stopped and even Jagananna Vidya Deevana, Vasathi Deevana was also came to a halt.

He said the government has declared that it is going to stop tuition fee from 2020-21. With this the poor students pursuing post-graduation in private colleges would be forced to drop education in the middle. The Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has assured the government will pay all fee but after 18 months of coming to rule he has forgotten the promise made to public, alleged Naga Ramudu.

Another leader Vishnu demanded the government to initiate action on the private schools and colleges that violate the norms. He urged the government to save the bright future of the students by withdrawing the GO No 77. If the government stands by its decision, then they will intensify the agitation across the state.

AIYF leaders Chaitanya, Suresh, Ravi, Arun Kumar and others were also present.
