Kurnool: An engineering graduate committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Nandyal on Monday. The deceased was identified as Ravi Teja (25), resident of NGO Colony and the son of a head constable. CI of Two Town police station Kambagiri Ramudu said that Ravi Teja has completed his engineering degree two years ago.

Since then he was trying for jobs, but could not succeed in getting the job. This has depressed him a lot. He has decided that it is of no use to be alive when he could not get a job despite trying for two years. He committed suicide in his room at NGO Colony, said the officer.

The family members on noticing that the door was not opened for hours together went to call him to have lunch. After opening the doors they were shocked to see Ravi Teja hanging from the ceiling. They immediately informed the police. The police rushed to the house and brought down him and shifted him to Nandyal Government General Hospital. But the doctors declared him `brought dead', said Kambagiri Ramudu.

After autopsy, the body was handed over to family members. A case has been filed under relevant sections. He further said that Ravi Teja's father is a head constable working at Nandyal One Town police station.
