A team comprising agriculture and horticulture officers from Meghalaya State has visited the Parvathipuram agency area.

Parvathipuram (Vizianagaram): A team comprising agriculture and horticulture officers from Meghalaya State has visited the Parvathipuram agency area.

Block development officer Raymond D Shira, horticulture officer Sanyang A Sangma, Amram Ch Marak and five more officers from Meghalaya came to Jattu Trust and visited the fields in GL Puram and Kurupam Mandal where the farmers are practicing natural farming.

The team has learnt the methods of natural farming and interacted with them. They inquired about the methods of preparing Jeevamrutham and other herbal insecticides like Neemastrum and Brahmastrum.

They are guided by the District Project Manager K Prakash, AO Hemasundar and the field staff of Jattu Trust. They also visited Kondabaridi village and spoke to farmers. Dr D Parinaidu, expert in natural farming, explained the methods of preparation of Jeevamrutham and other manures.
