Nellore: Water resources development minister P Anil Kumar Yadav alleged that some people were plotting to disturb communal harmony in villages just before the visit of the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's visit the city on January 11.

He said unidentified people were trying to defame the Chief Minister by desecrating temples. "Their main intension is to create impediments in the implementation of welfare schemes meant for the poor," he added. The minister distributed house sites to the beneficiaries of the 9th and 13th divisions in the city on Tuesday.

He said Jagan Mohan Reddy had fulfilled most of his poll promises and started distributing house sites to around 30.75 lakh eligible beneficiaries across the state. He alleged that no TDP leader in the district had announced that their party would allot house sites to the poor and houses for free during their regime. He also said the Chief Minister had provided 50 per cent reservations for women in various corporations in the state.
