Minister expresses ire over Tekkali Area Hospital staff
Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Krishna Das made a surprise visit at Tekkali Area Hospital, Roads and Buildings Executive Engineer’s (EE) office at Tekkali and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayam at Kotabommali on Saturday.
Srikakulam: Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Krishna Das made a surprise visit at Tekkali Area Hospital, Roads and Buildings Executive Engineer's (EE) office at Tekkali and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayam at Kotabommali on Saturday.
The minister verified records and enquired about health and sanitary conditions at hospital. On the occasion, he interacted with the patients and asked quality of medical and health services provided at the hospital and staff attitude.
The minister noticed that some medical staff did not attend to their duties as per schedule and expressed his ire over them. He also sought explanation from hospital superintendent K Kesava Rao for non-attendance of staff and poor medical services.
Later the minister inspected the Roads and Buildings EE's office at Tekkali and expressed his ire on the engineers for not attending duties without applying for leave or permission. He directed the officials to improve their performance and remove all encroachments in the department's assets.
In the noon, the minister inspected facilities at KGBV Kotabommali and verified attendance register, menu and food items. He also interacted with the students about facilities, quality teaching and food. Later he had lunch with students at KGBV. He directed the special officer of KGBV to improve teaching qualities of the staff and to compete with corporate schools.
