Over 500 participate in roller skating championship in Bhimavaram
More than 500 children between the age group of five to 14 years from Guntur, Krishna, West and East Godavari districts participated in the first open roller skating championship held at Westberry High School here on Sunday.
Bhimavaram: More than 500 children between the age group of five to 14 years from Guntur, Krishna, West and East Godavari districts participated in the first open roller skating championship held at Westberry High School here on Sunday. MLA Grandhi Srinivas flagged off the competition.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the school had glorified the town by organizing the event for the first time in the district. He appreciated Pawan Bhargav Honda owner D Suresh for constructing 100 metre rink for holding the competition.
Undi MLA M Ramaraju called upon the participants to work hard to achieve victory in the competitions. Deepak NextGen owner A Subrahmanyam presented the prizes to the winners. The school director, Mahesh Kumar, principal G Sunitha, coach Ch Krishna, parents, students were present.
