Visakhapatnam: Union Minister for Promotion of Tribal Cul ture Renuka Singh emphasised the significance of tribal culture and how each and every state has its own native art and creativity.

Inaugurating the 10-day 'Aadi Mahotsav' hosted by the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation Ltd (TRIFED), the Minister spoke about Van-Dhan Scheme and how tribal self-help groups get trained to add value to their tribal products.

"These groups can market their products not only within the states but also outside. Training and technical support and funding are provided by TRIFED. The platform aims at supporting tribal sisters by providing them an avenue to get their products recognised," said the Minister.

She stated that most tribals in various places and in Andhra Pradesh do not have proper healthcare facility. "The agenda is to change this scenario and improve the living conditions among communities, through sustainable support," Renuka Singh said.

Talking about the growth of tribal products globally, she further adds, "Be it Amazon, Flipkart or any other e-commerce website, the tribal products are sold in 190 countries. I am happy that my tribal brothers and sisters are receiving fame across the globe."
