Amaravati: TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu demanded that the State government explain whether the contract for purchase and maintenance of 108 ambulances was given to the son-in-law of YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy.

Addressing an online meeting with senior party leaders on Tuesday, Naidu criticised that the ruling party has been harassing the TDP leaders just for asking how the 108 contract could be given to a new organisation in violation of rules.

Naidu questioned the credibility of the State government in giving the contract to the ruling party leaders to benefit them to the tune of hundreds of crores of rupees at the cost of public exchequer.

The State government was giving notices to the whistleblowers (TDP leaders) while allowing the actual corrupt and tainted persons to go scot free, he blamed.

The TDP chief called for a relentless struggle to expose and oppose the multiple scams and irregularities being committed by the YSRCP leaders even while the State was facing a crisis due to coronavirus pandemic.
