Srikakulam: Forest officials alerted residents of Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) villages about a tiger reportedly on the prowl in border villages of Garabanda, Routhupuram, Rampa, Kurada and Bandahamsa for the last three days.

Odisha state forest officials confirmed the movement of tiger based on CC camera footage from October 21. These villages are located close to the Goppili, Gokarnapuram, Chinnahamsa, Bharanikota, Koligam, Karajada in Meliaputti mandal in Srikakulam district. Against this backdrop, Pathapatnam range forest officials and staff asked the residents of the border villages to be careful and not to move out alone during nights, and not to provoke the wild animal and take care of domestic animals.
