Withdraw controversial farm laws, demand Left parties
The Bharat bandh called by the Left parties on Monday evoked mixed response in Srikakulam on Monday.

Opposing NDA government's anti-poor, farmers and workers policies, the Left parties gave a bandh call and its affiliated trade unions, Indian National Congress (INC) and various employees' unions expressed their solidarity and participated in the agitation.
The State government which has also extended support to the bandh announced holiday for all educational institutions and private managements.
The APSRTC also stopped its services till noon to support the bandh. However, in the wake of Cyclone Gulab, people preferred to remain indoors and there was not much traffic on the roads.
Speaking on the occasion, district Congress president B Satyavathi, CPM and CPI district secretaries B Krishna Murthy, S Narasimhulu, CITU leaders D Govinda Rao and P Tejeswara Rao demanded that the Central government withdraw the three farm laws and amendments to labour laws.
They also flayed the Central government for its utter failure to control the fuel price hike. They found fault with the proposal of sale of public sector units like the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP).
