Amaravati: TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh lambasted Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy accusing him of indulging in land scam, sand scam, liquor scam and collecting J Tax and JST.

He said that while the people across the country have been paying Goods and Services Tax, all sections of the people in the state were forced to pay Jagan Tax (J-Tax) and Jagan Service Tax (JST).

Speaking on a resolution 'Illegal occupation of lands by YSRCP leaders-J Tax and Jail Life of Jagan,' on the second day of Mahanadu, the TDP leaders levelled serious allegations on the one-year rule of the YSRCP government.

The party in the resolution alleged that YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy plotted to occupy Rs 1000 crore worth 31 acre land at Siripuram in Vizag which was in court dispute.

"He also has eyes on 5 acre valuable lands of Dasapalla in Vizag. Another Rs 300 crore worth lands at Venkozipalem Asramam in Vizag city were also in the eyes of YSRCP leaders.

The Karteekavanam project was occupied by an YSRCP leader in Vizag, which is worth Rs 200 crore. A team of YSRCP leaders threatened an industrialist in Vizag and demanded a ransom of Rs 100 crore," it said.

The resolution also alleged that the ruling party leaders threatened land owners and grabbed land various places across the state.

Lokesh said Jagan had already looted at least Rs 1 lakh crore when his father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was CM and still 11 charge-sheets were pending against him. Even then, there was no change in his attitude, he criticised.

He further said that Jagan did not leave any sector in his corrupt practices. The TDP leaders said that land, sand, wine, mine and everything is under the J-Tax.

Without paying J Tax, no company would get a chance to sell their wine products in the state. They even threatened the industrialists to pay money.

The TDP leaders also accused the government of indulged in corruption even in purchasing coronavirus testing kits, bleaching powder, masks and PPEs.

They said the Chief Minister, Vijayasai Reddy, ministers and ruling party MLAs have been collecting money from public on the name of donations and using the funds for their personal purposes.

The party said YSRCP leaders resorted to huge scam in East Godavari when the government paid Rs 70 lakh to an acre as against the Rs 7 lakh for the lands prone to submergence in the name of house sites to the poor.

It also strongly criticised destruction of mangroves on the pretext of sites to poor.

The TDP passed a resolution demanding a thorough probe into all land scam allegations from the date Jagan government coming to power.
