Teach moral values to students, teachers told Vignan's University

Guntur: Retired Regional Joint Director of Education Dr Geetanjali urged the teachers to teach moral values to students in addition to their curriculum in the classes.

She addressed a meeting held at Vignan's University in Vadlamudi here on Thursday on the occasion of Teachers' Day and paid rich tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India and greeted the teachers on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, she said teachers have an opportunity to mould future citizens of the country. She recalled that Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan belongs to Andhra Pradesh and studied in Nellore and Tirupati. Vignan Group chairman Dr Lavu Rathaiah, Vice-chancellor Dr MYS Prasad and others were also present.
