Temples reopened in Vizianagaram district
Temples in the district were reopened on Monday
Ramatertham (Vizianagaram): Temples in the district were reopened on Monday. Renowned temples like Sri Seetharamaswamy temple at Ramateertham in Nellimarla mandal and Paidithalli temple in Vizianagaram, Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Thotapalli under Garugubilli mandal were opened Monday.
Devotees were allowed to offer prayers. The authorities ensured that the premises were sanitised. Wearing of masks was made mandatory. Only a few devotees were allowed into the temple at a time.
K Narayana Rao of Vizianagaram, who visited the temple Paidithalli said "I have been visiting the temple for the past 40 years, but during the lockdown I couldn't come here.
Anyhow, after a long gap, again I could see the deity." B V V H Kishore Kumar, Executive officer of Ramateertham temple. said the devotees were screened at the entrance of the temple.
