Tirupati : AP Pollution Control Board (APPCB) regional office in association with Regional Transport department organised an awareness programme on vehicular pollution at major traffic junctions in Tirupati on Saturday. This is part of supplementary programmes on the eve of World Environment Day – 2023. As part of it, many vehicles were checked for pollution. Awareness was given through microphones to turn off the engine of the vehicles at traffic signals and reduce the carbon emissions in the atmosphere to improve the air quality in the city.

The event was conducted under the supervision of Environmental Engineer A Narendra Babu, Motor vehicle inspectors V Srinivasa Rao, Yuva Kishore in which Assistant environmental engineer V Madana Mohana Reddy, PV Kishore Reddy, Sasikala, R Kumar and staff from AP Pollution Control Board participated.
