Tirupati: People told to be vigilant; take precautionary measures

Tirupati: Under the aegis of city-based NGO Rashtriya Seva Samithi an awareness meeting for women was held here on Wednesday on `Corona viral disease - prevention and precautionary measures to be followed.'

SV Medical College Professor Janardhan Raju through a video-presentation explained in a lucid manner on the origin of corona, its spread to various countries, preventive measures and also precautions to be followed to check the spread of the virus.

He said world over more than two lakh people were affected with the disease which is spreading fast to various countries while stressing on the need to be more vigilant to avoid the spread of corona viral disease. Cautioning against neglecting symptoms like dry cough, fever etc. he wanted the people to approach a qualified doctor or hospital if any one has fever, cold or cough to find out the disease.

Marking the occasion, a pamphlet in Telugu on corona viral disease prevention and precautions was released by RASS president G Muniratnam for distribution in the city to bring awareness again nst the disease. RASS project manager Nagaraj also spoke.
