Vijayawada: The Excise superintendents should strive hard to achieve set targets in the CGST collection, said M Srihari Rao, Commissioner of Central GST while addressing the 16th general body meeting of the Central Excise Gazetted Executive Officers' Association here on Saturday.
He said that Excise superintendents were the important officers for revenue of the Central government and added they should strive hard with dedication and prepare strategies to achieve the targets of revenue collection.
He underlined the importance of good relations between the government and the employees and the employees' associations should play a vital role in this connection.
Customers AP Commissioner K Venkatrama Reddy said that there should be accountability, transparency in the administration and the employees should play an important role in this connection. He said the target of Rs 1,200 crore in the Vijayawada Customers preventive commissionarate would be achieved with the cooperation of employees. Superintendents' Association president and secretary Gadde Tilak and M Nagaraju appealed to commissioners to take initiative to provide necessary facilities for welfare of employees. "They should take the problems of the employees to the notice of government," they said.
