Vinjanampadu: A two-day big pool campus drive for 6,400 engineering students from Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam districts by Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA) began here on Friday.

The drive is being held for the placements in India's Software Tycoon Infosys Ltd on the KKR & KSR Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS) premises. The students take up written examination conducted by Infosys during the two days. For the qualified students, interviews will be held on December 1.

In the beginning, Nuthalapati Kireeti, the delegate from Infosys and his team members, illustrated to the students about the selection process and the working system at Infosys. S Viswanatham, Director, Academic Affairs& Projects, APITA and his DDs from Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam districts attended the registration process.

The training and placement department of KITS took care of the entire process of conducting the exam. The management of KITS provided all the required facilities for the students attending the drive.

K SubbaRao, chairman of the institute said that he was very proud to host this big event in his campus. B He supervised the entire programme by giving needed instructions to his staff members.

He said that besides holding the regular drives on his campus, taking up of these pool drives would really make him proud. K Sekhar, Secretary, K Haribabu, Director; P Babu, Principal, Chandrasekhar, TPO and the HODs were present.
