YSR Congress Party leader and MP Vijayasai Reddy have urged the central government to keep the Waltair Railway Division in Visakhapatnam.
YSR Congress Party leader and MP Vijayasai Reddy have urged the central government to keep the Waltair Railway Division in Visakhapatnam. He made this point at the Rajya Sabha Zero Hour on Wednesday as part of the Winter Session of Parliament. Vijayasai Reddy said that the Walther division is the fifth highest-earning division in Indian Railway division.
Shifting of Walther division from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada has adverse effects on the state. Similarly, Vijayasai Reddy believes that a distance of 350 km between these two areas could cause difficulties in the event of an accident.
Division change is also a costly affair. Therefore, MP urged the central government to continue the Waltair division in Visakhapatnam and respect the sentiments of the people of North Andhra
