But things seem to be different in the Telugu film industry. Even though there are many web series made here as well, all of them follow the same formula that is seen in our potboiler films. The recent example is Manchu Lakshmi starrer Mrs. Subbalkshmi. The story of this series chronicles the events faced by a housewife who elopes from her neglecting husband.
It then features various cliched events like missing diamonds case and the heroine's daughter getting kidnapped. That is the reason why the Telugu web series are yet to make their mark in the digital arena. Earlier, many shows like Gangsters, Mana Mugguri Love Story and Hey Krishna have bitten the dust by coming up with beaten to death stories.
