South star siren Kajal Agarwal is playing the leading lady in this movie. Siddharth and Rakul Preet are also playing crucial roles in the film. During Kamal Haasan's felicitation, Kollywood star Vijay Sethupathi revealed that he has already worked with Rajinikanth but he couldn't share the screen space with Kamal Haasan. He also requested Kamal Haasan to give him another chance to work with him. The makers of 'Indian 2' have made this come true by getting Vijay Sethupathi on board for playing the antagonist role in 'Indian 2'. The movie unit revealed that Vijay Sethupathi will play a negative shaded role in the film and will join the sets from mid-February.
Allirajah Subhaskaran under Lyca Productions is funding this high budget project. 'Indian 2' is an Anirudh Ravichander's musical which is going to hit the theatres in 2020.
