Lucifer remake was supposed to take off under the direction of Sujeeth. Right after Acharya, Lucifer was supposed to hit the floors.
Lucifer remake was supposed to take off under the direction of Sujeeth. Right after Acharya, Lucifer was supposed to hit the floors. But, Sujeeth is not a part of the project and Chiranjeevi has asked VV Vinayak to step in and helm the film. In the process, Vinayak penned a version but Chiranjeevi is not satisfied with the same. Harish Shankar was also approached to helm the film as he expressed his interest to work with Chiranjeevi, multiple times in the past.
However, Harish Shankar is currently occupied with a couple of interesting projects and did not want to do a film with Chiranjeevi at this moment. Harish has a film with Pawan Kalyan and he is also producing two other projects. Moreover, Harish always want to do a straight film with Chiranjeevi and never wanted to take up a remake.
Most likely, VV Vinayak will be directing the Lucifer remake now but we have to wait for the official confirmation.
