Actor Karthikeya rose to a sudden form with the blockbuster success of the film Rx100. This Ajay Bhupathi directorial came up with no expectations and became a sleeper hit at the box office. Since then, the market value of Karthikeya rose to the newer heights but he is unable to score a hit like Rx100.
Earlier this year, he came up with films like Hippi and Guna 369, which remained as disasters. After that, he acted as the negative lead in the film Gang Leader, which also didn't do any good for him. Finally, he came up with his year's last release 90ml, which released the other day. Karthikeya also bankrolled the project under his home banner.
The quirky poster and the entertaining trailer raised decent expectations on the film. The film opened to a mixed and average talk since yesterday. Its box office fate will be decided with the occupancies and mouth talk over the weekend. Overall, it might not become a bigger hit than Rx100. Thus, 2019 turned out to be quite a disappointing year for the actor.
