GITAM admission test underway in 50 cities
GITAM Admission Test (GAT-2019) for admission into UG and PG Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture programs for the academic year 2019-20 commenced on Wednesday at 50 cities across the country.
Visakhapatnam: GITAM Admission Test (GAT-2019) for admission into UG and PG Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture programs for the academic year 2019-20 commenced on Wednesday at 50 cities across the country.
The admission test will be conducted from April 10 to 22 and the GAT-2019 ranks will be announced on April 26. A total of 50,000 candidates registered for GAT-2019 from different states and the university made all necessary arrangements to conduct the online entrance exam.
The duration of the test is two hours. The test consists of three sections and all questions are objective type (multiple choice questions). Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer.
While launching the first GAT-2019 online test paper GITAM In-Charge Vice-Chancellor Prof K Sivarama Krishna mentioned that the university has decided to offer Rs.30 crore worth merit scholarships to top rankers from 2019 academic year. He further mentioned that the university is improving the placement record year by year and attracting international recruiters. He said that the three university campuses emphasising on start-ups and focussing on new skills to train the human resource.
GITAM Hyderabad campus Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof N Sivaprasad, Registrar Prof KVGD Balaji, Admissions Director Prof K Narendra, Institute of Technology Principal Prof K Lakshmi Prasad, Institute of Pharmacy Principal Prof S Ganapathi and others participated in the programme.
