The Department of Commerce of Bhavan’s Vivekananda College of Science, Humanities and Commerce organised its four-day workshop on “Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)” in association with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Hyderabad: The Department of Commerce of Bhavan's Vivekananda College of Science, Humanities and Commerce organised its four-day workshop on "Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)" in association with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

This workshop was inaugurated by Vice-Chairman Air code. (Retd.) J L N Sastry as the patron, CMA Lavanya, Chairperson, ICAI Hyderabad chapter as the guest of honour, Prof. (Retd.) K V Achalapathi as the chief guest, Principal Prof Y Ashok as the workshop chairman, Dr K Sreelatha Reddy as the workshop convener.

The valedictory was hosted by Aditya Pillutla, faculty, Department of Commerce. It began with appreciating ICAI and their cooperation with Bhavan's Vivekananda College of Science, Humanities, and Commerce in imparting relevant and up-to-date information to students.

Address by Vice-Principal, B Niraimathi mentioned how the workshop was student-centric and congratulated the department for their initiative. Dr K Sreelatha Reddy, Head, Department of Commerce, and the convener for the workshop thanked all the participants of various colleges for their involvement and active participation. She also expressed her gratitude towards the resource persons for spending their time in taking the sessions.

Dr D Sanjeeva Rao, the coordinator for the workshop, read the report for the four-day workshop, about the technical sessions and their topics. He also urged the students to exercise the learning experience by going through the top companies' balance sheets that are adopting Ind AS and get employed in them.
