The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) has introduced their 6th She Shuttle connecting the New IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Gar Corp connecting Kokapet to Metro Station at Hi-Tec City on Friday.

Kokapet: The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) has introduced their 6th She Shuttle connecting the New IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Gar Corp connecting Kokapet to Metro Station at Hi-Tec City on Friday.

SCSC in its continued efforts has initiated, introduced and operated many safety and security programmes, especially, for the women safety. Awareness and empowerment programmes like women safety awareness programmes, Margadarshak, Bharosa, self-defence and SHE Shuttle.

Keeping women safety as their first priority, the SCSC introduced SHE Shuttle which is a fully automated/digital transport system exclusively for Women. The commuter can see the bus location and time to reach her location in her mobile app and can reach the bus stop just before a minute or so. This will save her from any kind of harassment.

Krishna Yedula, General Secretary of SCSC, said, "Safety and Security of the IT Industry is the prime motto of SCSC. The idea of SHE Shuttle was initiated by Bharani Kumar, the then Secretary and current Vice-Chairman, in back in 2015 and since then most of the women working in the IT corridors are using these services and with five shuttles on board as on date, SHE shuttle is being used by 40,000 commuters monthly."

He further added, "With the addition of the new shuttles, Kokapet IT SEZ is not only getting connected to the Metro at Hi-Tec City but also helps 5,000 women working in that sector to utilise the services for their safety.

V C Sajjanar, Commissioner Cyberabad Police, during the launch of the new vehicle said, "The services of SCSC especially for the safety and security of the Women in IT corridors is truly commendable and with She Shuttle – providing free transportation to women during peak hours provides a lot of ease and comfort while traveling and also helps them to be safe from any kind of harassment during their commute."

Followed by the launch Bharani Kumar Arol and Anasuya, DCP Admin and Women and Child Welfare addressed the employees of Gar Corp Employees and DCP Traffic interacted with them and clarified all their queries.
