Kondapur: Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Rajath Kumar on Tuesday conducted an awareness programme for IT professionals and experts on voter enrolment and revision of electoral rolls at Cyber Convention Centres here. Joint Chief Election Commissioner Ravi Kiran and Serilingampally GHMC Zonal Commissioner Dasari Harichandana attended.

During the programme, the officials enlightened the gathering about enrolment of voters and how changes can be effected in the voter list. Addressing the professionals, Rajath Kumar stated that the required information on voter enrolment could be obtained from the National Voter Seva Website, e-Seva centres, citizen service centres, besides BLOs, who move from house- to-house for creating awareness. He said a voter could enroll by submitting the required support documents.

The CEO urged 'responsible' voters to get their doubts cleared and participate in the election process, and strive to get rid of low poll percentage and strengthen the democratic set-up.

Among those present were DCP Venkateswarlu, GHMC Deputy Commissioners Ramesh, Venkanna,Yadagiri Rao, Balayya, Cyber Security Council representatives Bharani, Srinivas, Let's Vote representative Subba Rangayya, Maj. Siva Kiran, officials of various departments in Yousufguda, Serilingampally, Chandanagar, Patancheru GHMC circles, members of various colony welfare associations, SHGs, booth-level officials.
