Begumpet: Umanagar Residents Welfare Association (URWA) is grappling with several issues such as non-trimming of trees, ill-kept parks, debris dumped on the road and illegal constructions. The internal roads of all the six lanes in the colony need to be re-carpeted, said the residents.
The colony has two parks, one is maintained by the residents who spend around Rs 2 lakh per annum, while the other park is in pathetic condition. The boundary wall of the park is about to collapse, and the park needs immediate attention from the GHMC. said a resident.
Moreover, illegal parking has been a major concern, with two-wheelers blocking the lanes and causing inconvenience to the passers-by, many minor accidents and skirmishes have taken place due to ad hoc parking.
