Blaze in old tyres unit reduces it to ashes

Patancheru: A blaze in an old tyres factory in Bollaram industrial estate in Jinnaram mandal on Wednesday midnight resulted in its gutting. The incident, which scared local residents, occurred when old tyres were being recycled using oil. The fire became intense as tyres were piled up.

Local Fire Services personnel had to struggle for hours to control the blaze. The residents while speaking to The Hans India alleged that the factory was being run suruptitiously despite a ban for generating waste oil using old tyres. They stated that the fire could have been caused because of lack of safety measures.
