Chandanagar: Local Corporator Bobba Navatha Reddy on Friday inspected 41 CCTV cameras being set up in PJR Stadium at a cost of Rs 18 lakh for the security of sportspersons and visitors.
Speaking later, she said steps would be taken to ensure that the cameras covered the entire premises. This would pave way for knowing if anything happened to a person in the stadium. The cameras would be launched by the Serilingampally MLA soon.
Reddy also stated that various facilities were being provided in the stadium for the benefit of women and children, while stressing on security for everyone coming in. Among those who accompanied the corporator during the inspection were TRS activists Srikanth, Pochayya, Anant Reddy and Prabhakar.
