Herbal park to come up at Jawahar dump yard
Labour Minister Chamakura Mallareddy, Special Officer Sujatha Guptha and Medchal−Malkajgiri District Collector MV Reddy conducted a visit to Jawahar Nagar Dumping Yard on Thursday.
Malkajgiri: Labour Minister Chamakura Mallareddy, Special Officer Sujatha Guptha and Medchal−Malkajgiri District Collector MV Reddy conducted a visit to Jawahar Nagar Dumping Yard on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mallareddy said, "Minister KTR allotted Rs 26 crore fund for the development of Jawahar Nagar dumping yard and Rs 2 crore was allotted from mineral development funds. We will soon solve the problems in dumping yard.
To avoid the stench emitted from dumping yard, a herbal park will be set up in 5 acres and RO water plants are arranged in three schools in the village. These works will be finished within 2 months span." He further added that we are working on giving Mission Bhageeratha water to every house.
Speaking on the occasion, Sujatha Guptha said, "We are going to divide dry wastes and wet wastes before entering into dumping yard which will avoid stench from yard. People should also feel responsible and divide dry wastes and wet wastes before giving to garbage collectors." Minister Mallareddy understood the problem and spoken to dumping yard officials (Ramki organization) about welfare programmes to avoid foul smell."
Speaking on the occasion, MV Reddy said, "Land has been allotted for Herbal Park in the village. Keeping the health issues in mind, health camps are being conducted by health officer regularly."
Koteswara Rao, Ramki organization members Krishna, Venkat, RDO Madhusudhan, Jawahar Nagar municipal commissioner Aruna, Kapra Tahsildar Nagamani, local activists and others were present.
