Patancheru: President of INTUC district unit Narsimha Reddy blasted Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's attitude towards the striking RTC employees, claiming that his days as CM were numbered and that his downfall began on the day of the RTC strike.

Addressing a meeting here, he asserted that the TRS government was sure to fall with KCR adopting a 'dictatorial attitude' towards the RTC employees. He pointed out that going on strike was a constitutional right of workers and that no CM in the combined AP which had over 50,000 employees had never removed them. 'KCR's attitude showed his dictatorial trend', he quipped.

Reddy demanded that the government concede in phases the striking RTC employees' demands, except merging their salaries with the treasury. He criticised KCR's stand on seeking a written assurance from the RTC staff that they would not seek membership of any trade unions. He pointed out that the CM should realise that the Telangana agitation would not have been effective without TSRTC workers' participation. He accused KCR of trying to privatising RTC assets and sell its lands. Several TU leaders and workers attended the meeting.
