Jayashankar's birth anniversary celebrated across Tandur

Tandur: The birth anniversary of Prof Jayashankar was held on a grand note in Yalal, Peddemul, Bahseerabad and Tandur mandals on Tuesday. Leaders of political parties, representatives of people's organisations, students and teachers celebrated the occasion.

Students and teachers garlanded the statue of Prof Jayashankar and paid tributes at ZPH School in Peddemul. JAC leaders Somashekar, Bhanu, Ranga Rao, BC Welfare Association convener Rajkumar paid tributes to the Telangana ideologue in Tandur.

TRS leaders Raju Goud, former municipal chairperson K Vijayalaxmi, Neeraja Balreddy, Parimala, Abdul Razaq garlanded the statue. TRS leader P Pandu organised birth anniversary celebrations of Prof Jayashankar in Kotpalli mandal.
