Malkajgiri: Malkajgiri Constituency Congress party candidate Revanth Reddy scored his victory over TRS party candidate Marri Rajasekhar with a majority of more than 6,000 votes in the Lok Sabha elections. Revanth Reddy who lost in the Assembly elections made his mark in the Lok Sabha elections.

Malakjgiri being the biggest constituency in the country, TRS party cadre spent all their energies for the defeat of Revanth Reddy, butwere aghast at the results in Reddy's favour. Though the exit poll survey came in favour of Marri, the final results are to the contrary.

Revanth Reddy won in Assembly elections for two times on Telugu Desam Party ticket and earned fame as a fire brand leader with his fiery attack on TRS leadership. In 2018 elections, he stood as a contestant from Kodangal constituency and lost with a huge majority.

In spite of his loss, he kept raising his voice against the government and made his mark as a leader who will rise to any occasion to cause trouble to the opponents. The way he approached people made him win as the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha MP in a record of sorts.
