Moghalpura: Scores of children were able to explore their hidden talents and creativity at the week-long 'Children Fest' organised by Ideal Children Association at Urdu Ghar in Moghalpura.

During the competitions which concluded on Tuesday, children from age group below 14 years were invited to take part in essay-writing, picture description (Chitr Lekhan) and poems, where some of them were able to come up with exceptional ideas.

Dr Islamuddin Mujahid who was chief guest called upon the children to develop their ideas like "flying birds, while aiming high." He felt that if the parents encouraged their children, they would be able to reach heights in areas of their interest.

Ideal Children Association Moghalpura division president Salman felt that rather than restrict children into academics, parents must encourage them to explore diverse fields of interest in their growth years, which would encourage them to show their talents to the world.

Later, the winners of the competitions were awarded by Islamuddin, a social worker, Md Farooq, the SIO city president, and Fatir Hussain. Those who took part were awarded consolation prizes, amidst the presence of parents.
