Vidyanagar: President of BC Welfare Association R Krishnaiah questioned TRS government on its election promise of providing job for each house in the State. He was speaking at a meeting of unemployed here at BC Bhavan on Sunday.

Demanding that the State government issue notifications for vacant government, Krishnaiah said there were about 2.30 lakh vacant government posts, but the State government had not recruited more than 20,000 jobs in the last six years of its rule. Recalling the CM's election promise during the 2014 assembly election to provide jobs for each house in the State, he ridiculed that the CM had not provided job at least for each village.

He said that about 30,000 additional jobs were created after the 23 new districts and 140 new mandals were formed in the state. While government offices were languishing with vacant positions, about 10 lakh unemployed youth had been waiting eagerly for government notifications, he said. He demanded the state government to issue notifications to recruit vacant posts in healthcare, engineering and Group 1.

BC leaders Gujja Krishna, Jillapalli Anji, G Shankar, Raghava, Krishna Yadav, Bhaskar, Satish, Anusha and unemployed youth from various districts attended the meeting.
