South Central Railway develops app to help loco pilots
In order to provide easy access with single reference, South Central Railway has developed an in-house android app which can also be used in tablets and PC along with all the reference Manuals.
Secundrabad: In order to provide easy access with single reference, South Central Railway has developed an in-house android app which can also be used in tablets and PC along with all the reference Manuals.
Whenever a loco pilot needs any reference related to their working, they simply have to type a key word in the search box of the device to get complete details on that topic. This weighs only 300 grams. Adding to this, E-rough journal is also incorporated in the tabs for entering the voluminous data by the Loco Pilots, which otherwise they used to write manually.
This initiative is both paperless and eco-friendly. Loco pilots working in Mail, Express and Passenger Trains of Vijayawada division has been supplied with this device and the response from the Loco pilots is positive. Plans are on to supply them to all the loco pilots on the Zone.
