Marredpally: TSRTC has been playing with the lives of general public by deploying un-qualified bus drivers to drive the district and the city buses. In the latest instance, a temporary employee was driving the district RTC bus bearing registration No. AP 24 Z 0114. It hit the the vehicle (TS10 EB1731) belonging to Vikas Saraf, BJP Economic Cell Member & Southern Director of Anti Corruption Front, at Marredpally X Roads 10:30 am on Sunday.

After the incident, the bus driver did not stop, but drove away the vehicle. However, when the bus was brought to a halt at Mettuguda, the driver hurriedly alighted from the bus and absconded from the scene. The traffic police at Habsiguda Metro station vainly tried to stop him.

When the issue was taken to the notice of OU PS, they, instead of taking action, simply shrugged off, saying that they were not the police concerned to take action, as the place of incident occurred at Marredpally X road, which comes under the jurisdiction of Gopalapuram PS limits. The BJP leader criticised the 'irresponsible' behaviour of police and the negligent attitude of RTC officials in carelessly appointing untrained crew.
