Khammam: Devotees of Lord Rama and Sita Devi expressed angry over the Bhadradri temple authorities for not allowing devotees to witness teppotsvam and Uttara dwara darshanam on December 24 and 25.

Devotees and locals questioned the temple authorities and district administration that what sin they have committed when Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam and other temples are allowing devotees during Mukkoti festival. They demanded relaxation of rules imposed due to Covid-19. They pointed out that the government can conduct GHMC elections and meetings with lakhs of people and allow road shows, but they chant rules and regulations in the case of Ramalayam in Bhadrachalam.

The temple authorities have planned to conduct mukkoti festival for two days in a low profile without devotees due to coronavirus pandemic.

The temple authorities have clearly informed that there will be no teppotsvam and uttara dwara darshanam for common devotees, but they said few VVIPs and officials will be allowed.

Another devotee N Rama Devi said, "I am not against the government. But my only question to the government is that did Covid-19 rules are not applicable when the government conducted GHMC elections."

Thousands of people gathered during meetings and the government allowed all these but when it came to the Ramalayam, where only a few people gather, the government was putting many restrictions, is this right? questioned S Srinivas Rao.

BJP district secretary Yerram Raju Behra said the government was not interested in developing Ramalayam and from the beginning it was showing discrimination towards this temple. Why the temple authorities are allowing VVIPs and VIPs? Didn't they get corona? He questioned.
