Guntur: Separate exams for PS, NS in SSC from this year

Guntur: The state government decided to conduct two separate examinations for Science in SSC Public Examinations from this academic year for the convenience of students. The government will conduct separate papers for Physical Science for 50 marks and Natural Science for 50 marks. The government will issue a GO to this effect very soon.

Till last year the SSC Board was conducting one paper for Physical Science and Natural Science. The Board conducted Part-A, Part -B in Science paper for Physical and Natural Science. The students used to get confused and write the answer to the PS question in the NS paper. Due to tension, some students write answers for NS questions in PS paper.

As a result, the students are getting low marks. Though students have prepared for the Science Examination, their score has been falling. Director of the Government Examinations, D Devanand Reddy said, “The government decided to conduct two separate exams for Science.
