Complainant recorded the alleged act on her mobile phone

A 40-year-old KSRTC bus conductor attached to Puttur depot was arrested for allegedly molesting a female passenger and sexually harassing him.

The 21-year-old woman had boarded the KSRTC bus near Yeshwantpur on February 15 to reach Hassan. Upon travelling some time, she alleged that the accused sat next to her and started to misbehave with her.

She was unable to bear his harassment and began recording his actions on her mobile phone. Allegedly, Tallura tried to snatch her phone and demanded her mobile number too. The woman then got up, slapped him, got off the Bellur Cross bus and took another bus to get to Hassan. She shared the video with members of her family and filed a complaint at police station Subramanya Nagar.

The conductor was arrested on Sunday. He was produced before a magistrate, who remanded him in judicial custody.

A Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused Tallura had been involved in similar incidents in Puttur. Bengaluru police are gathering information from their puttur counterparts.
