Uttarakhand High Court to hear petition against Patanjali Ayurved over false claims on COVID cure
The High Court of Uttarakhand has issued a notice to the Central Government on Tuesday over the PIL filed against the Patanjali Ayurved for claiming that they found the medicine for the Coronavirus despite the central government has not given the clearance.

The issue was listed before the bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Ramesh Chandra Khulbe that asked the Assistant Solicitor General to stand on behalf of Union government.
The practicing Advocate of the Uttarakhand High Court, Mani Kumar filed the petition alleging that the company has misled the people by falsely claiming that their drug is used for the treatment of Coronavirus despite not having the clearance from AYUSH and ICMR. The petitioner Mani Kumar also held NIMS University of Rajasthan as one of the respondents, whi h claimed that it has conducted the clinic trials on the Coronavirus patients without prior permission from centre.
Earlier, the Patanjali Ayurved had launched 'Coronil and Swasari', citing that it has showed 100 per cent results but the Ministry of AYUSH has denied the claims and asked the company to stop false promotion. The complaint against the company owners, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev (Founder) and Acharya Balkrishna (MD, CEO), has also been filed in Muzaffar court.
