Contenders hitch Congress

Hyderabad: Ever since the Congress Party has opted to go with state bifurcation to carve Telangana, the party was soiled in Seemandhra region. The party lost its whole cadre and facing a survival difficulty.

Adding fuel to the fire, 2 constituents of the Congress Party whose names have been included in the Congress Party first list have shown discontentment to contest in polls on Congress Party ticket. Kasu Mashesh, the Congress Party candidate from Narasaraopet constituency, and Kandru Kamala, the Congress Party candidate from Mangalagiri constituency, have declared that they are moving away from the fray.

With this sudden shock, the Congress Party is not able to decide what to do in the looming elections. According to sources, more such moves by the Congress Party leaders are expected by the closure of nomination dates.
