That is why the TRS has a major role to play in reconstruction of Telangana. No other party can accomplish it,” thundered TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao at a public meeting here on Tuesday evening. KCR lashed out Telangana Congressmen, especially TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah, for making light of TRS statements on the reconstruction of the new State and challenged Ponnala for an open debate on extent of destruction in the region. Throughout their lives, the Telangana Congressmen had been at the mercy of the Seemandhra leadership. They were always at number two position and never at number one. But, they were now aspiring for number one position which would not be fulfilled even in their lifetime, he said. KCR said that the Congress was pinning hopes on settlers’ votes to come to power and act against interests of Telangana people. “Our party will not go against wishes and aspirations of Telangana people. However, we are not saying that settlers should not vote for us,” he added.
