Hyderabad: The process of filing nominations for looming elections for various constituencies in Andhra Pradesh (Seemandhra) was completed on Saturday. As Fridaywas a Closed Holiday and Saturday becomes the last day, most of the nominations were filed on Saturday. The last day for the withdrawal of nominations is April 23 while the polls will be conducted on May 7 for all both Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies.


On Saturday, the last minute changes in the list of candidates by various parties including Telugu Desam Party, Congress Party and JSP have created scuffles at many places. Most of the prominent leaders have submitted their nomination papers on Saturday. The final list of contenders will be let known shortly considering both the rejected nominations and the nomination withdrawn by the contenders.
