YANGON: The co-founder of Myanmar's pro-democracy opposition and the nation's longest-serving political prisoner died on Monday at the age of 84, his party said, after battling for decades to bring freedom to the formerly junta-run country.
"Win Tin died this morning (Monday)," said Nyan Win, spokesman for the National League for Democracy, which is led by democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi.
