Hyderabad: On Monday, the police have carried out a snap check at Timmampet of Jafargarh mandal in Warangal district. During these search operations, the police have found and seized Rs 9.67 illegally possessed inside a car.

Also, going on with the regular checking being carried out by the police in view of the looming general elections, the police have seized Rs 4.19 L from a vehicle at Penchikalpet village of Elkaturthi mandal in Karimnagar from Ramesh, a person who originally belongs to Parakala town of Warangal district, on Monday. The seized amount has been handed over to the Income Tax depart, according to the police.
From the other end, in one more such incident happened at Bhadrachalam in Khammam district, the police have found illegal possession of Rs 15L, which was hidden inside a vehicle. The police have seized the cash apart from detaining the vehicle and the accused.
It is worth mentioning here that the amount seized from various places and sources has crossed the Rs100cr limit and is about to touch Rs 200cr mark. Most recently, the police have seized Rs 45L from Kamala, the wife of former minister Parthasarathy. Such incidents have been at their high as the time for polls is approaching. Without any doubt, the only reason behind transportation of huge amount is to lure the voters to gain benefits in the elections. Such a situation will prevail till the time a change is not seen in the voters.
