Going on with the looming elections, these liquor shops which otherwise operate as retail outlets have now turned to be the wholesale shops.

With the imposed restrictions by the Election Commission, the retail outlets are not supplied with more quantity of liquor than they usually demand. From the other end, as part of their alluring promises, the leaders who are contesting in the looming polls have to oblige the dire need of their campaigners and provide them liquor which is a must to offer commodity. Left with no other option, the politicians have booked the liquor shops well in advance to supply liquor to them, till the alarming elections were concluded.
The simple demand and supply formula becomes applicable here as well. There is more demand for liquor but the supply is less. Genuflecting to the contractual agreements between the leaders and the bar shop owners, the wine shops are closed very soon in the evenings. Reason may not be likeable, but, there are people who feel very happy to see the wine shops closed which otherwise never happen.
