After the oath-taking, the House would pay homage to MLA-elect T Prabhakar Rao, who died of heart-attack two days ago, and would adjourn for the day. The newly constituted Assembly will have two vacancies in the 175-member Assembly due to the death of Prabhakar Rao (after the election) and Bhuma Sobha Nagi Reddy (days before the election).

Unlike the smooth conduct of the first session of the Telangana Assembly, the AP Legislature is likely to witness fireworks between the treasury benches and the YSRCP as the opposition party is firm on cornering the treasury benches on the ongoing delay in implementing the crop loan waiver scheme.

The YSRC, meanwhile, wondered how the government could ignore the name of passed away MLA of the party, Bhuma Shobha Nagi Reddy (Allagadda), in the list of departed MLAs for whom the House would pay tributes on the first day of the maiden session. YSRC MLA Nagi Reddy (Nandyal) called on the AP Legislature Secretary (in charge) K Satyanarayana Rao on Wednesday and lodged a strong protest against this.

Finally the Assembly secretariat late on Wednesday evening added her name in the list of business. On Thursday evening notification would be issued for the election of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the House. Election to the two posts would be held at 9.22 am on June 20. Governor ESL Narasimhan would address the joint sitting of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly at 8.55 am on June 21. There will be no session on June 22, being Sunday. Hence, the House will again meet on Monday, that is June 23, and take up the debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor's address till June 24. The House is likely to be adjourned sine die on June 24 itself.
