RGIA: 1kg Gold Seized From Man. On Friday morning the customs officials have seized 1kg gold at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport of Shamshabad in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: On Friday morning the customs officials have seized 1kg gold at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport of Shamshabad in Hyderabad. According to sources, the gold was seized from a man who arrived at Hyderabad from Sharjah. The accused has also been held for interrogation. More details are awaited.
It is worth recollecting that this is the third case of such nature alone in this week. In the recent past, Shamshabad airport has become the gateway for smuggling goods and precious items, mostly the Gold. Many such incidents have come into the light in the last few months. Despite the fact that the officials of the airport are vigilant, many such smuggling incidents have been taking place, giving a way for many misgivings. With the successive incidents of smuggling happening at RGIA, it turns to be the most befitting gateway for the smugglers of gold.
