Sania Mirza nativity row: Manchu Lakshmi reacts

Hyderabad: It is evident that Sania Mirza has been appointed as the Brand Ambassador of Telangana by none other than the Chief Minister of Telangana KCR. The entire issue has turned into a political issue as few prominent politicians have raised the issue of her nativity and quoting her unsuitable to be the brand ambassador. In an interview given to a leading news channel Sania Mirza has busted out in tears stating that she took birth as an Indian will remain an Indian forever.

While some people supported the move of KCR to chose Sania as the brand ambassador, few others contradicted same. Recently, Manchu Lakshmi took the stand of Sania Mirza and said that the comments against Sania Mirza who has brought many laurels for the country were unsolicited. She said that her entire support will ever remain for Sania.

Also, few others are pointing out at the latest statistics of her achievements and asking how is she better than badminton star Saina Nehwal who is present in great form winning honours for India and Telangana. Surely, it turns to be a debatable question. Nevertheless, such things should be mere personal feelings and should not lead to controversial comments.

Now, Sania has taken this issue to a different level questioning whether all this pandemonium is because she is a woman. During the recent interview to a leading English TV Channel, she even broke down saying, “I will not let people like this break me” and underscored it is unfair that “that I have to keep asserting my Indianness.”
